Derek Smart
It is with great sadness I share with you the news that Derek Smart has passed away. This follows a long spell of illness. This is a very sad day for the Arden community; Derek spent many years as Chair of Governors for Arden and as a strategic lead for education in Solihull.
He was instrumental in making Arden what it is today, simply enabling young people to achieve in one of the most outstanding schools in the Country. He was driven in all aspects of learning and gave back so much to his community as a volunteer. He was a wonderful friend to many and will be greatly missed by us all.
