National Champions
Congratulations to Kiara Henry, Milly Evans, Mia Kirk, Tessa Franks and Katie Fagg who became National Badminton Champions on 17 April.
The team won all of their matches to take the National Schools title at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes. In a very exciting last match to determine first and second place, Kiara was playing singles with Mia and Tess playing doubles, - they won the first two matches against last years winners. They then fought back narrowly winning the next two matches. A final push from Milly and Mia saw them win the final match by a resounding 21 -5 to take the title.
This is an amazing achievement and we are justifiably proud of the girls for their dedication and hard work - they are wonderful ambassadors of the school.
A special mention (and gratitude from the girls) must go to Miss West who has supported the team throughout the last couple of years.
