Rebecca Scott....World Champion
In December, Rebecca Scott, a Year 13 student at Arden, competed in the World Dance Council Championships with her partner Lloyd, where they became World Under 19 Latin Champions. Both aged only 17 they beat competitors from all over the world by winning all five competition dances (Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive). At the same Championships, which were held in Disneyland, Paris, they were finalists in the World Under 21 Latin competition and in November 2015 they finished as runners up in the British Under 21 National Championship. They also made the Amateur Final in the British Championship – beating many adult couples.
We are so proud of Rebecca and her achievements. She has been a fantastic role model during her time at Arden...not only does she have an outstanding academic record but she has been a superb ambassador for the school especially as a member of the Leadership Team in Year 11. We are very much in awe of how she manages her time so successfully!
