Sports Gala Dinner 2015
Kelly Sotherton was the guest speaker at Arden's Sports Gala Dinner held on Friday 24 April 2015. Kelly has had an amazing career and was an inspirational guest; spending time with students during the day and passing on words of wisdom to those who attended the dinner. Among her many achievements are a bronze medal at the Athens Olympic Games, gold in the 2006 Commonwealth Games and bronze in the 2007 World Championships. Sadly injury meant Kelly had to retire just before the London Olympics in 2012 but her participation in sport continues...running the London Marathon in 2013, completing the nine-day Deloitte ride across Britain and participating in the Prudential London Triathlon. Kelly has a strong interest in sports governance and combines this with her media career and corporate appearances. We would like to thank her for taking time out of her busy schedule to join us in celebrating the sporting achievements of our students.
