Teenage Cancer Trust
Arden was delighted to welcome representatives from Teenage Cancer Trust into school on Wednesday 15 June. The information sessions were delivered to students from Year 12 and Year 10. While cancer can be a difficult subject, the sessions were sensitively handled and age appropriate.
A range of subjects were covered including:

*Common Signs and Symptoms
*The impact of cancer on a young person
*Types of Treatment
*Healthy Living
To accompany the session there were a number of videos for students to view, one which was particularly relevant given the time of year featured the 'Shunburn' campaign explaining how the damage done to skin when you’re young could lead to skin cancer developing in later life.
