West Midlands Regional Future Chef Final
Deeah Chohan represented the West Midlands in the 2018 Future chef competition Saturday 3 February. Her task was to produce the two courses in one and half hours. Her menu sea bass on a bed of cauliflower purée, asparagus, broccoli,roasted potatoes Treacle tart with sea salt and orange with homemade custard.
Deeah now compete for the region in the National Final to be held at Westminster college London in March. We will have the privilege of working with George Outhwaite Head chef at Hilton Birmingham Metropole. He will mentor Deeah to refine her menu.
He said" Deeah was a clean, confident cook who produced amazing dishes, especially her pastry - that was incredible!
This is now Arden's third Futurechef National finalist so let's hope it is third time lucky and that Deeah can win the competition.
