Religious Studies at Arden Academy covers the three strands of Religion, Ethics and Philosophy. It actively promotes the values of truth, justice and respect for all, as well as providing opportunities for personal reflection, critical thinking and spiritual growth. Religious Studies prepares students for life in modern Britain by ensuring students know and understand that there are a diverse range of beliefs, both religious and non-religious, and are able to show British and Arden’s values with regards to their study of these. Apart from being able to demonstrate equal opportunities, students will also be equipped with the skills to analyse and evaluate which will feed into their life-long-learning. In short, all students at Arden Academy will be challenged by questions regarding purpose and existence which are part of shared human experience.
